"London Tide" opens at the National Theatre in London. The play is based on Charles DIcken's 'Our Mutual Friend" and is directed by Ian Rickson. The music for the play is written by Polly Harvey and Ben Power.

A demo recording of one song "Eugene Alone" has been released and available here on YouTube.

A new album from Alessandro Stefana is released.

Alessandro joined Polly in her live band for the "Hope Six Demolition" tour 2016-2017.

Polly is the executive producer and had this to say about the album "This mysterious and beautiful music by Alessandro Stefana entrances me. Its fragility and tenderness bring comfort and understanding. It reflects the unique sensitivity of its creator, who has drawn on his experience to bring this profoundly moving, and life affirming record to the world."

"I Want Absolute Beauty" will be performed at the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum in Germany in August 2024.

A musical play based on many PJ Harvey songs.

"One woman. Her journey. Her decisions. Sandra Hüller (Oscar nominee for Anatomy of a Fall) sings and acts the leading role, embarking on an epic journey through extreme emotional and mental landscapes. She is joined by dancers, including some from the Ballet national de Marseille, directed by the revolutionary artistic collective (LA)HORDE, Marine Brutti, Jonathan Debrouwer and Arthur Harel who also co-choreographed Madonna’s Celebration Tour. We follow the protagonist’s attempts to become her true self, defying the roles and expectations society has for her. She reinvents herself in every encounter, every relationship and every city. With I Want Absolute Beauty Ivo Van Hove opens Ruhrtriennale 2024. This emphatic music theatre production with chosen songs by alternative rock star PJ Harvey shows how we can overcome obstacles, grow from them and finally accept that we can only take life as it comes. And that can feel really good!"

Polly and Seamus Murphy announce a new collaboration for release in October 2015. "The Hollow Of The Hand" features Polly's poetry alongside Seamus' visuals collected together throughout their travels together in the last 3 years.

More details are available here at The Guardian and here at Amazon UK

You can listen to Polly reading "The Guest Room" for the New Yorker right here.

From Amazon UK:
Between 2011 and 2014 PJ Harvey and Seamus Murphy set out on a series of journeys together to Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Washington, D.C.. Harvey collected words, Murphy collected pictures, and together they created an extraordinary chronicle of our life and times. The Hollow of the Hand marks the first publication of Harvey's powerful poetry, in conversation with Murphy's indelible images. It is a landmark project and will be published internationally in autumn 2015.

As PJ Harvey says:
'Gathering information from secondary sources felt too far removed for what I was trying to write about. I wanted to smell the air, feel the soil and meet the people of the countries I was fascinated with. Following our work on Let England Shake, my friend Seamus Murphy and I agreed to grow a project together lead by our instincts on where we should go.'

Seamus Murphy adds:
'Polly is a writer who loves images and I am a photographer who loves words. Our relationship began a few years ago when she asked me if I would like to take some photographs and make some films for her last album Let England Shake. I was intrigued and the adventure began, now finding another form in this book. It is our look at home and the world.'

The Hollow of the Hand will be available in two formats: a hardback edition with highest quality photographic reproductions, as well as a reader's paperback version. A limited number of signed special editions will be also available."

October 2014

I'm trying to get it into the hands of a super fan or collector and thought you may be able to mention it on your website and/or share my ebay listing with fellow PJ Harvey fans."
If you have any questions about it, please mail me here and I will pass on your details to T.Wells.
